The Indians plated 897 runs and allowed 821 runs. Jim Thome walloped 49 home runs for Cleveland, while Ellis Burks, Marty Cordova, Roberto Alomar, Juan Gonzalez and Russell Branyan each added 20 or more also. Juan Gonzalez drove in 140 runs. Roberto Alomar paced batters with significant playing time by hitting .336. CC Sabathia topped the team with 17 wins, and Bartolo Colon recorded a 4.09 ERA, leading regularly-used pitchers.
