The Cubs scored 982 runs, best in the league. Chicago conceded 758 runs. Rogers Hornsby and Hack Wilson each. walloped 39 home runs for the team, while Kiki Cuyler and Riggs Stephenson added 20 or more, too. Hack Wilson drove in 159 runs. Rogers Hornsby paced all qualifying hitters on the roster with a .380 average. Pat Malone topped the squad with 22 wins, and Guy Bush and Charlie Root contributed 15 or more victories also Charlie Root recorded a 3.47 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.
