The Angels scored 653 runs and gave up 649 runs. Dave Winfield led California with 28 home runs, while Gary Gaetti, Wally Joyner and Lance Parrish each walloped 20 or more, too. Wally Joyner drove in 96 runs and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .301. Mark Langston paced the team with 19 wins, and Jim Abbott and Chuck Finley also added 15 or more victories also Jim Abbott recorded a 2.89 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.
