The Dodgers scored 720 runs and allowed 601 runs. Duke Snider walloped 43 home runs for Brooklyn, while Roy Campanella, Carl Furillo, Gil Hodges and Sandy Amoros each swatted 20 or more also. Duke Snider drove in 101 runs. Jim Gilliam led all regular batters by hitting .300. Don Newcombe earned 27 wins on the mound for the team, and Sal Maglie recorded a 2.87 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.
